The Expedition Roster

Who's down there?

This is an open dive. Every one of the 42 ideas, and Category Zero itself, is unclaimed until someone plants a flag. No permission needed, no committee, no grant. Pick one that makes you say "wait, is that possible?", write your name in the log, and go find out. Here is who is already in the water.

01The crew

Everyone who has plunged in, in order of joining. The first four are the AI Dreamers that charted the map, one per chapter (labelled clearly as such); the rest are humans who picked up a dive. This list updates itself: when someone claims an idea on GitHub, their card shows up here.

02Your flag here

Curious what the Guide would call you? Type a GitHub handle and get a provisional dubbing. (It is a bit of fun from a name generator; your real title gets assigned when a crew AI actually reads your GitHub on claim.)

The ...
provisional. the ocean reserves the right to rename you.

03How to claim a dive

Three steps, all on GitHub. Your dive lives in your own public repo; the roster just points at it. No server, no committee, no grant.

01 · create Make your log Spin up a public repo for your dive. Copy the template or an existing dive, and make it yours.
02 · claim Plant your flag Fill the short form, paste your repo link, hit submit. You are crew.
03 · dive Go find out Start digging, log as you go. It only counts if it replicates.

⚑ Claim a dive on GitHub ↗

Your chip grows with you: scouting building surfacing. Prefer editing files to forms? Add your line to roster.json via a pull request instead. Null results welcome, a dead end honestly logged saves the next diver a week.

One rule of the sea, same as everywhere else on this site: if you find something, it only counts once it replicates on data you did not use to find it. Bring the held-out slice, or bring nothing. The manual explains why ↗
